Question:

Good Golf Vacation?

I want to give a sort of "golf trip" to my husband for his birthday. We live in St.Louis, so Florida would be the ideal location, but it doesn't necessarily have to be there. Where is a good, well known, golf course that he would enjoy?? And something that isn't going to bust my bank account.....

  1. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is a great place to play golf. Plenty of courses to choose from, and reasonable prices for golf and lodging. Lot's of good restaurants and nightlife as well.

  2. Myrtle Beach, SC

    Pinehurst, NC

    Kohler, WI

    Bandon Dunes, OR

    Monterry Peninsula, CA

    Cap Cana, Dominican Republic

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, which runs across a few of the southern states.

All of these places are golf resorts that have several championship courses.  Check out Whistling Straits in Kohler Wisconsin, or Bandon Dunes in Oregon.  The RTJ Golf Trail is awesome!

  3. Myrtle Beach is a definite spot.  Go to golfholiday.com or call 1-800-845-4653 to get the 08 planner.  95 championship golf courses in that area.  The Scottsdale-Phoenix area is another golf haven.  Go to the Troongolf website to look at area golf courses.  Orlando is another hot spot for golf.  Anywhere in Florida is really.  40% of PGA golfers live in the Orlando area.  GolfOrlando.com is a good site to look at for information on courses in the area.  Happy golfing.

  4. Nashville, TN is pretty close with some great courses that are played on by the LPGA, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour.  Most golf packages require double occupancy.  Try www tuckergolf com for some ideas.

    Good Luck!

Your husband is a lucky man.........

  5. La Quinta golf resort in Palm Springs, California. I know it far away but it is beautiful!
