  1. Carefresh is the best bedding you can get for hamsters. It is non-allergic for hamsters and also absorbs their urine well and all my hamsters have lived happily on Carefresh.

Aspen shavings can also be used. I often use ripped toilet paper too. Make sure that the toilet paper is untreated, unbleached and non fragrant. Also the empty toilet roll tubes make good toys for the hamsters to play and gnaw.

But when you have carefresh, there is no need to think about another bedding alternative at all.

  2. Yeah that is very good bedding.  I used that when I had a hamster.  And also where my hamster slept I mixed in this stuff for hamsters called Night~E~Night.  I think it was called that but I'm not for sure.  It feels really soft so you might want to buy it for your hamster.

  3. Anything made of recycled materials is great. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT HAS A  LOT OF WOOD IN IT AS IT WILL CAUSE RESPITORY PROBLEMS!

  4. you can go to petsmart and get carefresh.thats what i got mine. :)

o and don't get pine cedar or newspaper.it is very unhealthy.

  5. it's great- read all the brags on the back of the package.

  6. I'm pretty sure you can't get much better than carefresh!

  7. My hamster adores this bedding: Kaytee Pine Bedding & Litter

He buries in it, plays with it, brings it with him places, and buries his food in it. He seems very content with it and yours might, too! They also come in very large bags, and just one lasts for almost 7 months!

    Best of luck! =D

  8. Carefresh is a GREAT bedding.

  9. Carefresh is an awesome bedding. I use it all the time. It's asborbs well, and doesn't smell. Aspen is the best in wood shavings. If you get wood shavings, do not get anything with cedar, or pine for your hamie. It's really bad for your hamie...and may be fatal, I'm not sure. Don't get fluffy bedding either. It may get stuck in your hamie's mouth, and that's not good. Give lots of TLC to your new hamie when you get it!
