Good High Schools in (CHICAGO)... not downtown?

well i am in 8th grade and i am looking for some good high schools to go to, my first option is WHITNEY YOUNG MAGNET HIGH SCHOOL is it a good school?? i want to go their but it think that it will be boring i need a little fun in hogh school at least

You would have to be smarter if you want to go there. You don't know how to use the right "there.":) Whitney Young is a good school but full of nerds. I only live a few blocks away and have a few friends that go there. My recommendation is for you to go the Lane Tech, where I go. That school is huge with 4,000 people so you can easily make friends. The things I hate a little about that school is there is a lot of preppy people. I'm going to be a sophomore next year. The work is very easy and teachers, also students are nice and actually have manners. If you still haven't taken the selective enrollment test, make sure you do well on it if you want to be accepted to good schools. I didn't take it too seriously and didn't get accepted to Northside, Young, Jones, and Lane. But, my teacher told me to complain to the school and I ended up getting to Lane, now I have a one hour trip on the bus and train to get there. Go to Lane or Jones instead of Whitney. But, wherever you decide to go, good luck, and don't listen to those bad things you hear about being a freshman, they're not true!
