Question:

Good Hobbies To Try Out?

I like to compete for stuff and have challenges. So what are some hobbies I can sign up for that have national or just regular contests? Where you can go and compete for medals and trophies? I already know the basics:

Pageants

Cheerleading

Most sports

I want something interesting and fun to do but that you can compete with. I've thought of gymnastics and horseback riding. But what others are there? Any will be great and Im willing to try anything. Something a 15 year-old can try out for. Also. can you get trophies for playing a musical instrument? Such as the violin or piano(*which I play).

  1. cooking has awards all the time and is a great way to express yourself. cake decorating, watch ace of cakes on food network. Working with sugar is rewarding and takes a steady hand. recipes are fun to get in the kitchen and create your own!

  2. We're in the middle of the Summer Olympics right now - that's the biggest sports competition in the world. Check out the different sports, see which ones interest you. I'm sure a coach at school could help if you can't figure out how to get started in the one of your choice.

There are musical competitions, too. If you learn to play either the bagpipe or drum, you can join a pipe band and travel to competitions all summer all over the US, Canada, and even the UK (yes, you can be underage if your parents approve). The Wikipedia link is about a classical piano competition.

Have fun 'seeking', and good luck 'finding'!
