Hi, Im looking for a good intermediate tennis racket. Ive been playing for about a year now and im going to play jv tennis this year in 10th grade, right now i have a cheap 35 dollar wilson grand slam and im looking for a nice upgrade. I want something that i wont feel like i have to upgrade for a long time, from what ive read babolat and wilsons apeal to me the most. I would consider my self a baseline played that likes to be able to put some good topspin on the ball. I would say i have a more powerful agressive mindset but control apeals to me the most. My price range is 80-200$.

Right now i'm looking at the:

Wilson ncode ntour &

Babolat pure drive cortex

  1. If you want my honest opinion, go with the Babolat. But whatever racket you choose, I suggest testing it out to make sure your completely comfortable with it. I've never tried Wilson's nTour, but their kBlade 98 and the kpro tour were a couple good ones that I tested.

Babolat is a good brand that I've been using for the past 5 years. I used to play with the pure drive cortex (roddick's right?), but I'm retiring them for a Tecnifibre Tfight 320 & a Yonex RQiS 1 Tour - I like the smaller head. They all offer a good amount of topspin and control. You should try looking into them, too.

Have you considered a demo program like the one from tenniswarehouse.com? You can get up to about 4 rackets to hit with for a week and all you do is pay for shipping.
