Okay I need a good last name that sounds normal but not cliched. It's for a wealthy, dysfunctional family. My caracters names are:

James Hayden

Caroline

Beth

Mindy

Conor

This is the only place that it made sense to ask other than baby names...

  8. it depends what their ethnicity is and the type of character they are. if it is a novel about real life events, you don't want a crazy last name like Amarin because that doesn't sound real. My advice is to make up their ethnicity and search for a last name within that ethnicity to give it a real world feel.

my personal favorite last names are the ones that are different like Elrey and Undieme.

Good luck! and i hope that i helped!

  9. I think a great last name would be Hansel, or even Carol.
