Good Los Angeles restaurants i can take my boyfriend to? HELP?

hey guys, my boyfrieds 20th birthday is coming up in two weeks and i need somewhere romantic i can take him. People have suggested the "the little door", or "il cielo", but the problem that would create is that he wont know what to order or he won't like it. I need something like cheesecake factory food, but somewhere nice, and romantic. He like american/italian food, u noe sandwhiches, burgers, pasta, etc

PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Im struggling here!!!

A good Italian restaurant called Il Fornaio is a good choice.  During the first 2 full weeks of the month, they feature a special menu in addition to their regular menu that has six or so dishes from a specific region (aka states) in Italy.  Prices are from $10 to close to $30.  Their Risotto dishes are some of the best.  Join their free frequent diner club before being seated and you get a little food or kitchen related item to take home if you visit them and order something from the regional menu.  Located in Pasadena, Beverly Hills, El Segundo, and Costa Mesa / Irvine.

20 is old enough to start experimenting with restaurant menus. Does he like meat? Surely he would be happy with a steak from somewhere. He should try to expand his horizons beyond burgers and pasta. You are not going to find romance at The Cheesecake Factory. If you want romance you should also try more adventurous food. It's just one meal. If he doesn't like it it's only one dinner but if he does then there's a whole new world of dining opportunities available to him.

Try "The Cliffs Edge" in Silverlake. It's very romantic and the food is nice, but simple.

ok i suggested this restaurant for me and my bf to go to on our anniversery its called Miceli's. its an italian restaurant. its very romantic looking and the waiters sing and theres live piano. the food is amazing!!!!!! especially the chicken lasagna! i really suggest you go here. its kinda pricey like $11 a plate but you get alot and its well worth it. its on ventura blvd around and really easy to find! i even saw it on the ashlee simpson show once. its a GREAT PLACE!
