Question:

Good Mexico Vacation Spot?

Hi, I'm looking for a vacation spot in Mexico or the Caribbean. I'm 33 years old, so I don't want a college spring break type place, but a place to relax with my girlfriend. I basically want a place that has nice amenities but also the chance to be slightly secluded, of course without completely breaking the bank. If you have stayed somewhere and can offer "hands on" advice I would much appreciate it!

  1. My husband and I love Grand Sirenis, south of Playa del Carmen.  It is a newer resort, so they offer lots of "sales" to get people to come.  It is normally very affordable for a 4 star hotel.  Food is great, service is outstanding, very romantic!  But, it is farther away from the airport, and it is farther away from many of the usual excursions.  When we go, we stay at the hotel and don't leave.

  2. Hi, Cancun is lovely, me and my girlfriend went there last year best time to go is oct.nov when theres fewer people there.

But beware of your valuables and conmen, its full of them, but if you keep your wits about u, u'll be fine

Enjoy its a awesome country and the people are lovely!

  3. Try Playa del Carmen, its about 40 min away from Cancun, another great spot would be Cozumel, its an Island on  the Caribbean, hope you both have a great time!

  4. I didn't know there was a good spot in Mexico to go to.  wow.

  5. The Grand Palladium resort in Riviera Maya is very nice.  Good beach, great pool with a swim up bar, entertainment in the evening and a Disco that opens about 10:00 P.M.  It is All-inclusive, and doen't break the bank.  Some day-time activities, if you want to join in.  No pressure to participate.  No Spring breakers allowed.  About 45 minutes from Cancun airport.  Suggest you use Apple Vacations.  They will take care of everything. Have Fun!!

It is laid-back and casual, which is what we liked.  When on vacation, we don't want to have to commit to a specific dinner time, or dress up for a meal.  Bathing suits, with a cover-up or shorts, is fine for breakfast--then head to the beach or pool for the day.  Buffet is open from about 600 A.M. til' about 10:00 P.M.  Huge assortment of food, or you could make reservations for the specialty restaurants--all included in the price.  Very beautiful, relaxed resort.

  6. Cabo is more laid back and quiet - less amenities though.  A good place to dive.

Cancun is LOTS of fun... If you don't want spring breakers, then just don't go during spring break.  The service is great everywhere and they have a lot of great things to do.

Playa Del Carmen - About an hour from Cancun and is pretty secluded.

  7. Try Aruba its great
