  1. some really good ones are spy x series,chasing yesterday series,nancy drew,goosebumps,the sisters grimm,etc.

  2. Hi

My son, who's 12 just read the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz. He really enjoyed them, it's about a British teen spy. The first one is called Stormbreaker.

  3. I'd recommend any of the Newbery Medal books.  I particularly enjoyed Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising series and Lloyd Alexander's the Prydian Chronicles at roughly that age.

  4. Have you read the Shadow Children series.  They're written for the age group you have listed.

They books are set in the future when it's illegal to have more than 2 children but there's a whole underground of illegal 3rd+ children and the series follows their story and shows their fight for freedom.  They're really good books and keep you on the edge of your seat as read them.  And you'd be luckier than I was because they're all published now and I had to wait for the next one to come out.
