  1. Here's something different that only a local can tell you about.  Take a taxi to the Whiskey Cafe which is located at the corner of St-Laurent and Bernard on the plateau.  Go there for a drink or two (maybe even a cigar, they have a permit), and then move west on foot down rue Bernard.  You'll find many nice little bistros and walk-in bars where only the locals go, but they are all friendly places.

Many other people would suggest the obvious places like Crescent street, St-Laurent, or even St-Denis but rue Bernard is experiencing Montreal / Outremont like no tourist would.  Enjoy.

  2. Top Montreal strip clubs:

    Super sexe on Ste-Catherine

and Chez Paré I think on Peel.

You can get a "danse à 10) You pay $10 and can touch the girl.

  3. The Old Port, Cathedral de Notre Dame, Mont Royal, fresh bagels on Saint Viateur and Parc Avenue, clubs and bars on Crescent between de Maisonneuve and St Catherine's as well as a good Irish pub after Les Brasseurs on St Catherine.  During the summer there's a fortnightly fireworks display at the La Ronde amusement park which can be seen all over the city.  You could even see it up close by going to La Ronde...go in the morning, leave at night and most importantly bring your own food!
