  1. Well, no matter what experts say, we just don't know until Mendenhall and Jones take the field...

    1. Both Jones and Mendenhall are timeshare backs.

    2. Both are with new teams, and one's a rookie obviously.

    3. Mendenhall has 0 NFL carries to gauge his potential by...

    4. Jones is not an every down back, nor has he been a major fantasy force outside perhaps his first season.

    5. Seattle has an easier schedule.

    6. Willie Parker is still the starter in Pittsburgh, but is recovering from his broken leg.

    I like Mendenhall's upside better.

There's no way to grade you on the deal.  It might work out great...

  2. i like it

  3. At this point, it is far to early to even want to trade for either player.  Wait until you can see how each player does during the preseason.  Julius Jones might be a great back for Seattle in his first year.  Take a look at what Mendenhall can do.

Once you see them in action for their teams, then make a decision.  Way too early to make trades bro.  I have avoided bad trades from watching preseason.  That's how you succeed.

Thumbs up to those who agree.

  4. i dont think jones will do any good in fantasy so its worth the risk to get mendenhall

  5. If this is a keeper league, make this deal quickly.  Mendenhall should turn out to be a very good NFL back.  He was the only guy on the field for Illinois that didn't look over matched against USC in the Rose Bowl.

If this is a redraft league, things are a little more complicated.  It is hard to say who will turn out to be the better back in 2008, but I personally have seen enough of Julius Jones.  I would rather take my chances with Mendenhall and his upside.  Willie Parker will still be a big factor, but perhaps Mendenhall gets the goal line carries.  You can't say the same for Jones with T.J. Duckett in Seattle with him.

In Fantasy Football, TDs make all the difference!

  6. Would like to know who your RB's are at this point. Hopefully Jones is not your #2. IF he is, then you need to keep him as he is somewhat of a safer pick right now.

Mendenhall looks to have a lot more upside at this point. If you can afford to risk/reward a guy on your bench, then I would lean towards Mendenhall. Hopefully you can wait until right before the regular season starts and see how training camp and preseason works out.

So, if he's your starter at this point, keep Jones, if you can afford to take the chance go for it or you could still possibly counter offer and try to upgrade a little at WR or TE.

  7. I'd keep Jones...I doubt it's that big a deal...is he ur starter?  Anyways, Alan Faneca left Pittsburgh so the line may not do as well...do what you want but if it were me, I'd keep JJ
