  1. If you don't use a "high PC", you won't be pleased with the results playing Crysis.  Crysis has such high system requirements that it makes even some of the high end PCs crawl in some parts of the game.

Get the most expensive AMD dual core processor you can afford and mate that with an nvidia motherboard that will support it.  I'm partial to motherboards by PNY.  They are just as good as the more expensive boards but cost almost half as much since they don't advertise nearly as much.

As for the rest of the computer, I recommend an Antec Nine Hundred PC case for its superior air cooling ability (water cooling is too risky for me).  I also like the 7200 RPM hard drives by Seagate.  They are fast, quiet and have a longer warranty than some brands do.  You don't need a huge hard drive in terms of storage, just a really good quality one.  I always install two DVD drives, one that only reads DVDs and CDs and one that can burn both.  Some games won't install fully if installed on a drive that can burn, so I use the read only drive for installing games.  They are getting hard to find, but some stores still have them.  My current computer I built has a read only DVD drive by NX which is turning out to be a good one.  The one that burns discs is made by Plextor and has very fast write/read speeds yet is very accurate.  I recommend getting an nvidia 8800 series video card by either PNY or BFG.  For Crysis, I'd get their next to the highest end card.  Their highest end cards are too expensive and the second to the highest ones will give you virtually the same performance as a general rule.

Memory is important too.  Get good quality memory that comes with heat sinks.  I use Patriot memory nowadays.  I've tried skimping on memory by buying the cheap stuff before and have always been dissapointed in the performance and life span of it.

Whatever you get, I'd exceed the recommended specs for Crysis by at least one level in each of the categories it lists.  Otherwise, it's going to play and look terrible.

  2. i, you and we all know that crysis not on high settings is useless, but anyway here is what i recommend:

Processor: intel core 2 duo E4600 -around $140

    RAM: 2X1 GB Patriot PSD22G8002 DDR2 800 Mhz -around $40

Graphic card: Palit geforce 8600GT super -around $100

Motherboard: MSI K9N SLI Platinum -around $165

if you get a rig like this, i am 100000000000000% sure crysis will run on it even with medium settings.........
