I'm a qualified diver, and a regular visitor to St Lucia, but have never dived there. Anyone know of a/some good dive sites; name, vis , depth, how far out .etc.

  1. My husband and I dove St. Lucia last summer.  We were staying at a resort that had a dive boat, so we didn't do any shore diving.  We dove Hawaii this year, and St. Lucia monkeystomps Hawaii....at least the dives we did.

One of the spots we dove was a wall dive - very cool - Anse La Raye Wall.  We saw a turtle, lobster, moray eels, jellyfish, trumpet fish and a bunch of cool coral.  A dive before ours caught a glimpse of an octopus, but he was gone by the time we got down there.

Anse Chastanet Reef is pretty good too, and it seems fairly accessible from the Anse Chastanet Resort if you wanted to shore dive it.

All the dives we did (3 total) had awesome viz - probably 150 feet.  The current was a non-issue, depths to about 60 feet (because our divemaster wouldn't let us go further) and they were pretty close to the shore, although not all were accessible by shore because of the rocks/cliffs.
