  1. grab grant balfour of tampa bay. he's been lights out so far this year and is currently occupying the closers job. i wouldn't bail on gregg since he's still the closer. watch for any changes though.

  2. Balfour on Tampa Bay who is replacing Percival at closer.

And I also would suggest Kobayashi on the Indians who is definately now the closer.

  3. We don't know who's available. I bet all the closers are taken already, so saves aren't really going to come. But I think Kyle McClellan, Jim Johnson, Chad Bradford, Scott Downs, Reynel Pinto are good pickups for ERA.

  4. To the 1st post: No, Balfour does not have the closers job. The Rays are using a "closer by committee" approach. Balfour will be only 1 of 3 pitchers who will get save chances. The other 2 are J.P. Howell and Dan Wheeler. Wheeler is expected to get most of the save opportunities. I would pick up and of those 3, but most likely Wheeler.

Don't bail on Gregg yet. He is on a team that will give him plenty of save opportunities, especially if they want to have a good second half and be in the playof hunt.

    Good luck!
