Good Shade tree..?

What is a good shade tree that doesn't loose its leaves all year round and doesn't have its roots sticking out of the ground??

  1. Hi

    Not sure where you are, so you may need to check these against your zone information.

    You could look at Holly Oak (Quercus ilex) - it grows pretty big and is as tough as old boots. If you want to see a picture and description I have listed a url below.


  2. Pin oak they don't loose leaves until spring ....and usually blow away in the march winds. An evergreen doesn't loose leaves it has needles.   They aren't know for being shade trees though.
