Question:

Good Show Hunter Bridle?

by  |  earlier

Im gonna start showing my warmblood, and need a new show bridle. I school in a kincade fancy stitched, but its just not "show quality". I've tried ebay but am not sure what brand to get. I need a good show bridle that would match a pessoa oakbark colored saddle, for under about 200 dollars. Any suggestions?

  1. Pessoa make bridles dont they? I would buy one from them or by another well known saddle maker. I have an HDR hunter bridle and love it. Its 2 years old and looks great. I also have a a bridle that has a VP brand on it. Its a little silver thing that says VP where the browband meets the cheek pieces. I like that one a lot as well. I have never come across a brand that just had bad bridles so you should be OK with whatever matches color wise.

You can check most brands out on here though:

  2. Edgewood bridles are very good show quality and they break in fast. They are expensive but they last forever.

start on this page and look thru the bridles (note: i never cared bout the brand of bridle as much of brand of saddle and even then it's just a matter of your preferance)

edit: to break in a bridle try using alittle warm oil to soften the leather. make sure to get the extra oil off or it gets messy fast.

    good luck
