Good Smoothie Recipe?

Does anyone have a good smoothie recipe? I've been trying to find one but I just can't. Thanks.

  1. 1 banana, frozen

    6 strawberries, frozen

    1cup of ice

    1/2 cup yogurt

    blend

    or frozen fruit & juice -

    I like pineapple juice with bananas

    or peaches/nectarines with OJ


  3. The best smoothies are usually pretty simple.  Some fruit, some milk, a little bit of water or crushed ice, a little bit of sugar and blend.

    If you want to get fancy you can mix different fruits together or add ice cream or orange juice or flavorings like vanilla extract or rum flavoring (or even rum) some protein or vitamin powders for health benefits.  Just experiment and discover what you like.  

  4. Start with your favorite fruits - my favorites are strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. (Right now I  would add fresh peaches since they are in season and sooo good!) Bananas are great for consistency, I am just not a banana fan, but I add them for other people.

    Approximately two cups of fruit combined for two smoothies. Add one small container of vanilla yogurt (I prefer Yoplait full fat, full sugar) or your favorite flavor. Add 1/2 cup of ice and blend in blender. Add more ice if needed depending on the consistency you want.

    You can add a touch of honey to sweeten if desired. It depends on the ripeness and sweetness of your fruit.

    To really kick it up a notch, add about a half cup of chocolate chip ice cream before blending - sounds strange but I did it once on a whim and it was incredible.I ate half of it for breakfast and put the rest in the freezer and enjoyed it later in the afternoon as a frozen yogurt - awesome! Enjoy!  

  5. you can use assorted berries such as strawberries, blue berries, raspberries. if you want the smoothie to be more chunky like a slushi, you can put frozen fruit, cranberry juice, and ice. if you want a *smooth* smoothie, put the fruit i wrote up top, 3 cubes of ice, yogurt, and 1/3 cup of cranberry or orange juice. good luck with your smoothie! :)
