Good Sydney Suburbs to Live?

I am thinking of moving to Sydney and buying a place there to live, I want to buy 2 bedroom house/ apartment/ townhouse/unit with around 320K, dont even know if i have enough to buy a good one.. I would like to know which are the good suburbs to live, in terms of convenient transport, lower crime rate, safety, shopping, house prices..

What are the bad suburbs to avoid?

Any information would be good..

I have heard that some suburbs may have a bad reputation but they may not be as bad as most people think..any ideas?

I am thinking of Northmead, Wentworthville, North Paramatta, Baulkham hill and castle hill..Are they good to live in, please help..

Why don'tt. you head towards the beaches? For your money you will be able to buy a unit which would be a walk to the beach. The southern beaches have a train line and the eastern suburbs have a bus system.Good luck
