If you have the room, buy the xtra long and firm.  I really don't like a sofa you can sink in.  If you can find one, get one that only has one cushion.(for seats)(very hard to find)  Very nice to have, you don't have to keep fixing the cushions, and things don't slip between the cushions and get lost.

extra length if you can fit it in. I also like somewhat firm so that I don't get lost in it  It is all personal preference. Go to the store and try them out to see which one you like.
