Good Tips for getting into NYU?

I want to get into New York University after high school.Right now I am going to attend a high school as a freshman.What GPA should i maintain?What are really good ways to boost my chances of getting into NYU starting fresh from Freshman Year? When should I start to prep for the SAT's?

get all As, and over 2100/2400 and join at least 5 clubs with officers nominated....

its pretty much like if u try to aim for harvad or yale........
