Good UK Economics Site?

Anyone know of one? Im looking for something that is for a student of economics, something like the american petro charts? Thanks

    I must say that for day to day things, BBC News covers things simply yet informatively. If you really like economics a lot, Tutor2u offers a free daily-news email thing, which has 2-3 stories in detail each day. You can always unsubscribe, but it is quite good - and not too long.

    I also want to recommend a few books to you - these are short, very basic and an absolute must if you want to get into the subject. Written for beginners interested in the subject itself, they're not "textbooks" at all, but fun books applying economics to every day life. Just read these three and trust me (!):

    Freakonomics

    The Economic Naturalist

    The Undercover Economist.
