Where is a good University in Australia for Studying abroad?

I am an American and am REALLY CONSIDERING doing a study abroad SOMEWHERE in Australia in the next year. I want to go to a university that has a fairly easy curicculum for business, is fairly laid back, close to the beach, a half-day's drive from snow skiing (if the skiing is any good down there), I haven't heard much about it, if it's not, ignore this!!! :( and fairly inexpensive for a semester....

I know im dreaming about getting all of these at one school, but close to the beach is a MUST!!! (so is cheap tuition)

also, I've heard Australian girls are some of the most beautiful in the world... is this true?!?!?!?!

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!

  1. Check out The University of Sydney or UTS(University of Technology, Sydney) or UNSW (University of New South Wales). These are some of the major universities in Sydney. There's also Macquarie and University of Western Sydney but these may not be as good for business. You can google search any of these as they all have websites. Anywhere in Sydney is fairly close to the beach (both of these are close to the city centre) and public transport to beaches is great. Skiing is best in Thredbo and surrounding areas in the winter months and early spring. It's around a 4 hr drive from Sydney.Costs for uni courses vary so you should check on the websites or request some information to be sent out to you. If all else fails, do a wikipedia search of universities in Australia and see what you come up with. Good luck!

  2. I would suggest improving your vocabulary or look for an inexpensive trade school.

  3. i only know about nsw unis, so UTS (university of technology Sydney) is probably the best in terms of business courses and is located right in the city, so not to far from the beach. i also believe that macquarie also in the city is quite good for business. is your more interested in snow than the beach, you would be looking around canberra at the Australian National Uni, and maybe canberra uni aswell. but i wouldnt go to canberra, its a cold and boring place to live

  4. Hi,

You will find everything on the websites below:

    For Singapore http://www.educationtimes.com

    For UK http://www.britishcouncil.org/usa

    For France: http://www.campusfrance.org/en

    For Germany http://www.campus-germany.org

    For Netherlands http://www.nuffic.nl

    For Australia: http://www.idp.com/usa

The above website are the websites of the respective governments to assist international students. Go to their offices only.

    For GMAT: http://www.mba.com

You can always do a MBA. Now keep one thing in mind. The country of the MBA program is really not that important as much as the accreditation. These three accreditations are very important - AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS.

Which ever program you apply to, make sure it has at least one of these accreditations. Then you need not be worried about the programs recognition. Have a look at their websites and select programs listed there.

    AACSB - http://www.aacsb.edu/

    AMBA - http://www.mbaworld.com/page/welcome/

    EQUIS - http://www.efmd.org/html/home.asp

    All the best!
