Question:

Good Way To Get Good At Rubiks Cube?

by  |  earlier

There are people who can pick one up and do it in no time. I want to be one of those people. Whats a good way to start to get good with them?

Also, does anyone know where I can find the real cubes? The ones that don't have stickers, the blocks are actually colored the color they need to be.

  1. The one with the stickers is the 'real' cube. As everything else, The Rubik's company is cutting costs down to increase profit.

The one with stickers is the official Rubik's cube. The one you speak of (known as cubes with tiles), you would have to order that from the internet. I don't suggest that until you get the real Rubik's cube, and learn how to solve it.

Don't listen to "I love Hannah Montana". Doing one side at a time is NOT how you solve a Rubik's cube.

Anyone that you meet that can solve a Rubik's cube has probably learned the algorithms and the different methods on how to solve a Rubiks Cube.

Their are many methods, such as the Reux, the Fredrich (Beginner method available), and the Fridrich Method.

By the way, contrary to popular belief from people who can't solve a Rubik's Cube, using  methods is. NOT cghenai

Hetre is the first method I learned. Let me say again, anyone you meet that could solve the Cube probably is using the simplified Fridrich method. Look at the cube to see if they are doing it layer by layer, and if at the end, they have only four pieces at the top out of place.

Here is a good video series on how to solve the cube. I use this method (and I used this video) , and now I can do it in a average of minute and a half:

    Part one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofZFUgaxl...

    Part two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJw9kWkMn...

    Part three: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Bg3fCI6g...

If you take this seriously, you might want to take notes, or write down all of the algorithms you see in the video.

    Its what I did.

Don't get discouraged! It might take you a long time to be able to memorize all of the algorithms

P.S.: You might be like "What the h**l are algorithms?"

An algorithm is a series of moves involving the Rubik's cube which will move one piece to another place, without scrambling the cube again.

  2. practice makes perfect...

  3. -Search online for tips.

    -Practice.

    -Ask other people.

-Do one side at a time.

  4. The only way i can think of is to memorize the algorithms as for the real cubes, try a toy store they usually have 1
