Good/affordable dance studios to learn Jazz/Modern/Hip Hop/Lyrical dance in NYC?

Hi! I am an 18yr old dude, and after watching f***y Pak on America's Best Dance Crew on MTV (LOL i know...), I have been inspired to try dancing for myself. I am wondering where I can find a good/affordable allowed to pay cash!(no credit/debit) dance studio in NYC that teaches jazz/modern/hip hop/lyrical (at least 2 of those), preferably brooklyn/manhattan.

Also do you think 18yrs old is too late to try out dance and become good at it? I am a very dedicated person and if I truly like it I would dedicate myself to it. And would anyone around my age want to come and join me in trying out some of these dance lessons too lol?

Thanks

  1. Im in that same position man. I'm a 16 yr old dude from brooklyn. After watching "So You Think You Can Dance" I became inspired to dance. I found this place called spoke the hub in downtown brooklyn. Im going to try it out myself. Hope to see you there!!!

  2. contact your local community center or ymca that will be a good starting place and an affordable one.

    good luck to you.
