Why in center? Is not a very nice place to stay. Some other neighbourhoods are better, like Providencia and Las Condes.

The Los Nogales Hotel in Providencia is good value from around $65  or Conde De Ansurez at Calle Republica 25 in  Downtown Santiago - but it's only a  2 star and costs nearly the same.
