Good and fun strategy games?

Question

I like chess and Othello (my favorite game) but I'm looking for something for multiple players (and non-computer games). Any ideas? Thanks!

The only games I can think of are card games.  There is shanghai   Which you can play with a lot of people.  And, there is Mexican domino train.  The train is a great game to play with the kids.  The whole family seems to love it

There are some good ones!  I like Kill Dr. Lucky... it's like the opposite of Clue.  And also Settlers of Catan.

Have you played Carcassonne?  It is a lot of fun for several players!  I also like Ticket to Ride. These games can be found at  game shops or you can order off amazon.com.  I am a bit of a board game connoisseur and I had begun to be bored by all the old standbys.  Risk is of course another good one that many people already know how to play.  Good Gaming!
