  1. Guess it depends on what you want to work at.  We live in NC but will be moving to Virginia for a new job.  But if you want to live in the Charlotte area, look into Cabarrus County.  Smaller towns, lower taxes, nice atmosphere.  The three main towns in this county are Concord, Harrisburg and Kannapolis.

  2. yep very good

  3. as good as i ever seen!! used to go there ever day!! way up in the hills of asheville and rosman!!! would do it all over again just for the fun of it!! I miss them factories and the people so dag-bern much I can taste it!!

  4. The best areas in North Carolina to find a job and where you will have a good school selection would be your more populated areas. Charlotte (excellent city), Raleigh (not Durham though), Winston-Salem, Asheville. The suburbs of each of these cities are good as well. Matthews - Charlotte, Clayton or Apex - Raleigh, Boone - Asheville.

It all depends where you want to live also. North Carolina has the beach and the mountains.  It takes about 5 hours to cross NC by car.

If you find a job before you research schools all you have to do is look up www.greatschools.net

This website is an excellent source if you want to know anything about the schools in your town. Click on "Research and Compare" then you will need to click the state of NC. You will be able to find school districts by zip code. You will be able to find what it's like to live in the city of your choice, the rating of the school, what other parents/teachers think of the schools, and the demographs as well.

    I do hope this helps.
