so, i took ap biology this past year, and pretty much crapped my way through it, as i had a little case of senioritis. basically, i didnt learn anything at all. however, i had registered for the ap, and if i did well enough on it i could get 8 hours for college for it. so, i crammed like no ones business, and managed to get a 4. im an incomming freshman at cu, and want to major in evolutionary bio and ecology, but im worried that since i got out of first year bio and got lucky passing the ap, that im not going to know the fundamentals of bio in order to be sucessful in all my other classes. so, basically, im wondering if anyone knows any good books that cover this information that i can read over the summer. thanks!

  1. Campbell would be a good one to have. I'm a microbiologist myself so I can't offer any good advice on evolution or ecology but I know Campbell has the basics of those subjects and maybe a bit more in it. Really good bio book to have around.

Can probably get a cheap one on amazon or ebay.
