  7. Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell. You can read it online at http://orwell.ru/library/novels/1984/eng...

  8. Kaitlyn By Kevin Lewis

    best book out...

really deep and you will  learn from it

  9. My favorite book is Jumper, by Steven Gould, and I think you'd like it. If you didn't like the movie, don't worry. The book is way different and far better. It's got a handful of sexual content, though, so if that stuff creeps you out it may not be the best choice.

  10. Misery by Stephen King

  11. the alchemist by paulo coelho

  12. If you want to read a book that truly impales the competition, check out BLOOD PROPHECY.

    Here's the back synopsis:

"For six thousand moons the Ordo Draconum, a sinister cult veiled in secrecy, has plagued the land with its evil rituals and endless thirst for blood. During that time they gained mastery over life and death, creating beasts in their own twisted image: giant spiders, snakemen, shape-shifters. The blood of their revered master, Vlad the Impaler, courses through their veins. Into this morbid world quiet, unassuming David Kesselring finds himself. To confront these hellish demons and fulfill the portents of the Blood Prophecy, David must enter the web of darkness, control the beast within, and sever his own bloodlines."

  13. my very favorite is a trilogy by anne bishop:

    daughter of the blood

    heir to the shadows

    & queen of the darkness

    sci/fi fantasy at it's best.

try it, you will be very pleasantly surprised!

  14. Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer

--science-fantasy, good for all ages and genders; criminal mastermind and 12-year-old Artemis Fowl II attempts to steal the fairies' gold (and then the subsequent adventures)

Novels of Redwall series by Brain Jacques

--epic, all ages and genders; the various tales of the creatures of Mossflower and the surrounding land (it's about talking animals; they're basically just furry people, though. Very right-wrong, good vs evil based)

The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom (I forget who wrote it with her)

--true story, all ages and genders, maybe more female-oriented; it's Corrie's trials during the Holocaust and her time in concentration camps

What are your interests? I might be able to help more if I knew what you like...

  15. if you havent checked it out yet i'd definitely say you should give the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer a shot

  16. Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson

    Mistborn is a fantasy trilogy, and the books in order are: The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension, and The Hero of Ages.  The "and" isn't part of the title, lol. ^^;

More info, including first chapter available free online on the author's official site:
