  1. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

(about: Futuristic society/distopia in which there are two protagonists. Of course, since it's a distopia, (almost) everybody is conditioned to think in certain ways, hate literature, botany, etc.)

    Farhenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

(about: Futuristic society.. another distopia. Reading books  is illegal. Firemen are supposed to burn books and burn those that read them. The protagonist, Guy Montag, a fireman, realizes the value of liteature.)

    The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

(about: Huck Finn encounters crazy adventures and people with his slave, Jim. They travel through the river. Full of satire.. it's funny and I use this novel for most of my essays.)

Also, I've read online and I've been told (by teachers and other students) that if you really can't think of books or any other examples for the SAT essay, you could make something up, that is, if you think you can imagine your own book & author. But use this only as a last resort.

  2. Princeton Review is probably the best study material available.
