I'm mature for my age and a little sexual stuff is ok, but not too many details. I did not like the Twilight series, even though I only read book 1. I love historical fiction and modern realistic fiction books...I find long books with too may details in them hard to get into. Oh, and if the boy is the main character it's too hard to read, I can't relate. No fantasy, please. I love a little romance.

  1. i like the same stuff you do, and i am 13.

my favorite books i have read are by the author Anne Hopkins.

Some books she writes are called Burned, Crank, Impulse and some others i can't think of.

But they are about a lot of real life situations and she puts it in a creative way.

  2. A true story that is a very dramatic and interesting read is "The Diary of a Young Girl" by Anne Frank.

  3. I think you would really like the Anne of Avonlea series by L.M. Montgomery.  (Anne of Green Gables is the first one).

I also really enjoy anything by Madeline L'engle.

  4. OMG you should definitely read "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd and "The Diary of Anne Frank" Sorry thats all I have for you.

  5. sarah dessen books. im 15 and ive almost read all her books. theres always a little romance and some other problem the girl is facing weather its parents divorce, bestfriend getting pregnant, or sister running away. there like 10 of them. there great.

  6. Even though they may be a bit old for you, since you like historical fiction I really recommend Phillipa Gregory.  She writes really interesting fictional biographies.  She is brilliant.

  7. i no you said no fantasy but i have a great fantasy romance type its not super fantasy but still there's a little bit in there the book is called the winter oak there is another one to the book even though they aren't a series you can read them in any order that one is called the summer land i just got done with them and it was great I'm your age so it works but another great series is odd thomas by dean koontz those are awesome books I'm on the third one right now and there's four but the other books ( the winter oak, the summer land ) are by James A. Hetly

  8. I am twelve and I enjoy all of Meg Cabot's books! They sound like what you are looking for too! They are realistic fiction. The princess diaries are about a girl named Mia who discovers she's a princess but is still in high school. She doesn't want to be a princess and she has a boyfriend. These books are really good.

Another one of Meg's books I enjoy is All American Girl.

Pretty much all her books are good.

  9. Secret Lives of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn Betty Smith

    Little Women

  10. The catcher in the rye by J. D. Salinger. Its an old book, but it  presents the harsh reality of the world from the view of an adolescent, which makes it easy for young ones to understand the complexities of the novel. I found it fascinating when I first read it at the age of 14.

  11. You should try the Mediator Series by Meg Cabot (Same lady who wrote The Princess Diaries) They are a little fantasy (because she can talk to the dead) and they have history, solving crimes and a little romance!

  12. "boy meets boy" by david levithan is one of my all-time favorites, but you have to be okay with same-s*x relationships (obviously). the bloody jack series is kinda stupid, but pretty fun, that's historical fiction.
