Good but non exspensive cat litter? ?

I need good cat litter,but I can't spend lots of money on it....any help would be great!

If you're in the UK, the own-brand wood-based litter from Wilkinsons is great. There's no smell at all except for a pleasant pine scent (as long as you keep scooping the p**p out), it's environmentally friendly and healthy for the cat, and because it's Wilkinsons' own it's dead cheap.

I just started using  the "A&P" store brand. It's just as good as the Tidy Cat brand that I was using and alot cheaper for the 20 pound container.

I use Fresh step. Its good and not that exspensive.  A box is 9.99 but if you upgrade to the pail its 11.50. If you have one cat that will last almost a month. Try that.

Hi there,

Before I started using the brand we now use, and it has been about 12 years that we are using it now, I tried many brands, both the "less expensive" and the pricier stuff, such as cedar shavings.

I found that most of the brands did not last a really long time, and were dusty too. We did not want to have a brand that was dusty as it is not good for kitty's respiratory system.  

After a search, we found Worlds Best litter. While pricier on the front side, it lasts a long time, is practically dust free, is flushable and septic tank safe.  With two cats, and two boxes, we found this brand to really be the most economical considering that other brands needed a total change much more frequently. We love it.

PetsMart is now selling it, and other fine petstores sell it too. http://www.petfooddirect.com/ often has huge sales which pays for the shipping, basically. That is where we buy it.

It is made of corn, so it is also ecologically sound!
