Good calculator to bring for the SAT?

Which of the TI series calculators are good for the SAT

The TI-83 should be fine for the SAT.  If you are planning to also take the calculus AP, pay the extra money and get a TI-89.

It's best to have a calculator that you're familiar with (and bring extra batteries).  So if you end up using a new calculator, make sure that you familiarize yourself with it beforehand.  A good non-graphing calculator to use is the TI-34 II (it's solar powered!).  If you want to use a graphing calculator (not necessary; there's not any questions that you need a graphing calculator for), the TI-83+ or the TI-84 are good picks (they're pretty much the same thing).
