Good camera for me...?

Question

It must have:

* Ultra Compact

* 8 Mega Pixels or higher (7 is ok, but NO lower!!!)

* Under 1 inch thick

* 4X Optical Zoom or more

A good place to look is Amazon.com, which is good?

You should go and check out the site www.dpreview.com - where they rate the hottest digital cameras out there.  People tell the + & - to what they have experienced with the cameras.  Then once you know what you want, browse ebay, or search your local  www.craigslist.com to see if someone in your area is selling one!

Right now, its Canon and Nikon neck and neck in the digital camera business. Canon seems to have an edge in image quality because they make their own image sensor. Nikon relies on Sony to make theirs. Both companies make good cameras but Canon is two steps ahead of the game.
