  1. Geico is decently cheap...and you can manage all your stuff online and don't need an insurance agent.

  2. I've never been quoted a good rate from Geico.  Both times it's been like 50% more than any other company offered.

Of the major companies, go with Progressive.  My mom has had her car hit while parked SEVEN times in the span of four years, and has had nothing but a good experience with them, and I've been using them off and on for about 4 years, too.  Nothing but positive experience.

If you're eligible, go with USAA (you must be military, a veteran, or have some other close connection to the military).

  3. I saved 15 % on my car insurance by switching to Geico!  LOL No really I did.  Just search it on the web!!

  4. State farm is the cheapest for me, Geico quoted me twice as much.

It's different for everyone depending on many things, like where you live, what kind of car you drive, how old you are, and if you're a male or a female.

Just call around and get quotes, or go to websites like www.geico.com www.progressive.com and www.statefarm.com

I love state farm, they have never screwed me over.  I've also worked with progressive and geico because I was hit by drivers with them.  both of those companies treated me very well also.

  5. Why not look here.

    http://www.comparethemarket.com/carinsur...

  6. There are several car insurance search engines that will work out the cheapest price for you. Why not use two or three - they will suggest a few alternatives. Some, (e.g. gocompare.com), will allow to amend the quote you get so that you can either improve the cover you get - for example by i extending replacement car hire periods, or to lower the premium by increasing your excess.

Then, when you've got the cover you wish for, just pick the cheapest quote. I got a quote that gave me exactly the level of cover I want for £150 less than my old insurer wanted to renew my existing policy.

Try it. Just type something like 'insurance comparison sites' into your browser, click, and Hey Presto.
