Good catfish bait that doesnt attract snapping turtles or any other turtle?

i want to go catfishing but i hate snapping turtles any advice????

I haven't hooked any turtle. Try minnows cut in thirds.[head, middle, tall.] Throw some chunks in to get them over there then put a chunk on the hook, and throw it out to where you throw the bait. Worked for me. You might even get other fish, like bass.

I heard catfish will eat plain dial soap and turles won't.

I haven't tried it yet, it's just something I heard.

Sorry dude, but a snapping turtle is going to want anything that will attract catfish. Snapping turtles will grab anything and everything, but they really like smelly stuff and that is what you got to have to get them cats. Just have to use long forceps, or long needlenose pliers to dig or cut the hook out so you don't get snapped if you hook one. I find them most annoying when they steal the bait though...lol.
