Good charity foundations?

Question

I have to write an essay for my school's Honor Society about a possible fundraiser, in which we could make a donation. I know this is an individual assignment, and I have done some research, but I just need to know which foundation needs the money the most, and which foundation it would benefit more. I have come up with: Parkinson's disease foundation, Multiple Sclerosis foundation, and dontiong money to build wells in africa. I need to know who i would send the donations to though. please help. please suggest any other foundations if you feel the need to. I'm desperate.

Ronald McDonald House for cancerous patients and Make a Wish Foundation. I was involved in both. I was a patient for the Ronald McDonald House and recieved a wish. You will be happy you donated to one of them.

I personally would donate to the thousands of animals in shelters. I would donate money and food and whatever else they need.

I'm in the Dominican Republic and am aware of some good foundations that support the non-profits that work with this developing country.  I think they are worthy causes if you are interested in an international foundation.

Kids for Kids (supports other countries as well)

Peace Corps Partnership (you select which project and an American PC volunteer gets to use it to execute such project)

The Petty family have a good program for kids I think it`s called make a wish foundation for sick children.

well i guess with all the foundations in the world it can sometimes be a tough decision, i personally would go with the MS foundation as people i know have been affected by it.
