Good cheap bars?

does any1 know of any nice but cheap bars and pubs in glasgow that are suitable for students?

Plenty - Sauchiehall street is a good place to go - there is Sporta, a Weatherspoons and little gems in between such as Buddha which are very atmospheric!  If you want to go further afield, head for the Merchant Square in the Merchant City - lovely atmosphere and reasonably priced.  Black Friars is good for live music as well.

There are loads on Sauchiehall Street - Firewater, Yates, Wetherspoons, Sports Bar. Others in the City Centre are Lloyds, Walkabout, Frankensteins. In the Merchant City there is Waxy O'Connors. One Up, O'Neils. Just have a wander round and see what takes your fancy!

You have Campus on Sauchiehall St - very much geared towards students and are doing a deal at the mo (not sure if its only on certain days) whereby you buy any drink (including soft drinks) and you get a free pizza!

There is also Campus East at the other end of town (used to be the old Bourbon Street) which does £1 or £1.50 drinks all day/night on a Thur.

Mojama on Sauchiehall St isn't the most atmospheric but does drinks at £1.50 all day every day.

The Hall, again on Sauchiehall St has special student discounts if you have a "yellow" card or something like that.  Even your normal student card might do the trick.

The old Underworld, now the Catwalk Rock Lounge, on Union St also does good promos.

Glasgow has loads to choose from so you won't be stuck.

aye the horse shoe bar is cheap and reasonable and madisons if ur looking for a girl at the end of the night good luck

walkabout is qite popular with students...Renfield street I think also the Sports Bar in Sauchiehall Street. In fact Sauchiehall Street has quite a few student friendly pubs.
