  1. this site lists all of the different types and maps to where they are

  2. If you want a cheap fill , try the Buffet Star on Hanover street.

It's an all you can eat Chinese buffet.

There's a few such places in Liverpool but this is the best I've been to.

The food is kept fresh and refilled regularly and is all really nice.

I've been to a few places where the good stuff runs out but not here.

They also usually have two bottles of Chinese beer for about three quid  which I think is pretty good value.

If you like Indian  'A Passage To India'  on Bold street was great the last time I went. They had a chef's special chicken which came in a special little pot (not balti!) which was excellent.

    Have fun!

  3. It rather depends what kind of food you like:  for example if Indian food is your thing, try 'Master Chef' on Renshaw Street, good quality nosh and very reasonably priced.  It is unlicensed so pop around the corner to Bargain Booze if you fancy wine or beer with your dinner.

One place you ought to try for the experience is the St. Petersburg Russian Restaurant in York Street.  Cracking food and not that expensive if you manage to only drink moderately!  The live music, Russian karaoke and wild, drunken dancing is free!

P.S.  I've just found out that it is two for the price of one at the moment too! http://www.liverpoolconfidential.com/ind...

  4. McDonalds. It's the ONLY restaurant in Liverpool.

  5. Never mind the restaurant, make sure you get a very secured car park or the scousers will have your car stripped to the shell before you can order the starter.

  6. glad your coming to our city, it's a great place, no matter what some people say. if you're looking for cheap food try one of the chinese all you can eat buffet's, there are quite a few of them around the city centre, about £6.50 each. there are lots of good restaurants as well, go to Duke street and try Il Forno, if you don't like Italian there are three other restaurants right next door, mexican, japanese and indian, sapporo is excellent but it is expensive. have a good time.

  7. the cafe/restaurant in the Merseyside Maritime Museum is usualy good, its really close to the albert dock, just around the corner as you walk towards the town center and lime street

and also, on the albert dock theres a great sandwich shop, but i cant quite remember the name, i think it might be next to "hanzel and grettles"
