  1. If you want a more scenic drive up there, take highway 117 instead of highway 15......Highways 15 & 117 will merge at around ste-adele and also at ste-agathe-des-monts......

Highway 117 has a lot of little interesting places to stop, like spas, restaurants, old-time shops, etc.  You have more places to stop safely and enjoy the scenery.  It might take you a little longer to get to mont-tremblant, but it is worth the detour, at least for a few hours.

Mont-Tremblant also has many things for you to do.

    Enjoy your trip.

  2. St-Sauveur about 35 minutes from Montréal. Many shops and places to eat.

  3. Before I saw the other answers, I was going to suggest Saint-Sauveur - can you believe this?!?

Sainte-Adele and/or Sainte-Agathe is not a bad idea either actually.

As a matter of fact, anywhere in the Laurentides region is worth stopping at for a while and taking a look!

    Hope this helps a bit!
