Good clubs in Athens?

I'm staying at the Hotel Metropolitan from Wednesday August 13th to Saturday August 16th. My sister and I love to dance and we heard that the Greeks were big party people.

Does anyone know of any good clubs nearby the hotel. We were hoping for something closer to/on the beach with a fair-sized crowd... inside and not lining up outside the door.

  2. Akrotiri is one of the more popular clubs. You may find it (and everywhere else ) a little empty when you are in Athens though as a big percentage of the locals will have left the city & headed for the islands
