I am a sophomore in high school, I have a 4.0 GPA (weighted it's 4.5).

My schedule is the following:

Science- honors, will be in it for all 4 years

Math- one year ahead but not honors, in it for all 4 years

Foreign Language- honors, in it for all 4 years

English- honors, will be in it for all 4 years

Social Studies- honors, I took it when it was optional freshman year, so I am technically a year ahead.

& I'm taking 2 years of electives plus classes I HAVE to take at my school.

I'm in Key Club (an international volunteering club), Invisible Children Club (raise money to build schools in Africa), Recycling Club, and when I am a junior I will join National Honor Society. I am going to apply to be a position (secretary, treasurer, president) in Key Club as well.

I would like to know colleges in the New England States or Washington state that would best suit me. I want to become either a pediatric dentist or environmental engineer. I like cold weather obviously, I want to get out of Arizona.

  1. Here are the top colleges in New England per US News & World Report.  They all have excellent premed programs.

Williams College (MA) This one is about 3 hours from Boston and NYC. Way too remote for me.

Amherst College (MA) This one ain't too much better, still 2 hours to Boston and in a very small town.

Bowdoin College(ME) Over 2 hours to Boston and up in frigid Maine.

Wesleyan University(CT) Over 2 hours to NYC and 3 plus hours to Boston. In small boring town. Too isolated.

Smith College(MA) In tiny town 7 miles from Amherst so same undesirable qualities as Amherst. Out in middle of nowhere.

Colby College(ME) Same issues as Bowdoin.

Bates College(ME) Same issues as Bowdoin except uglier city.

College of the Holy Cross(MA) 40 miles  to Boston or Providence. In New England's second largest city. On MBTA line to Boston, 10 trains/day
