I am really not keen on taking the Sat subject tests but still want to go to a good college. What are some good universities that will except you even if you opt out of taking the Sat 2's?

  1. Well, I applied to 4 colleges, and only one needed SAT II's.

Case Western Reserve University- Great Pre-med and Engineering programs, Cleveland Ohio

University of Missouri- Rolla (aka MST)- All engineering school, decent, fairly inexpensive

Texas A&M University- Great engineering school, no SAT II's required.

University of Texas- Good engineering and wonderful for architecture. Only requires the math SAT II for some things.

These are some others that don't need any:

    Rice University, Houston, Texas

    Rensaleer, in Upstate New York

    Miami of Ohio

    University of Southern California

There are lots around.  Don't close the door on public schools, because they often have the best funding and still have great academics.
