Good cordless phone?

Question

i'm looking for a good cordless phone without static. i would like it to be one with two handsets to put one in a room without a phone line. also it must have caller id but NO answering machine. any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

make sure its a 2.4, not 5.8...you will pick up interference

You can have a look at Uniden TRU94852. I love the phone and all its' wonderful features! I love the intercom feature and it's very easy to use. It is not expensive, a decent deal for it is $90.

Get the DECT 6.0 cordless phones.

I have the Vtech 6.0 (3 handsets and base) and works great for me. No static and interference issues.

I agree that the DECT 6.0 phones are convenient and seemingly interference free.  I use the GE DECT 6.0 phones, available at Best Buy as well as many other retailers.

If I were to buy a phone today it would be the Uniden DECT 1080-2. Has answerer and 1 extra handset. Runs about $90-

In my opinion, the only good cordless phone is a cellphone....
