Good cover up tattoo?

my dad has a rose head tattoo on his top arm with my name above it. he has told me doesn't like the rose anymore and wants to get it covered up (but not my name). it about the size of a tennis ball and is red, any good ideas beacuse he has asked me come up with some but i have no idea.

Go to the studio and explain it to them and then look through their books and come up with an idea, I had the same prob, I had it covered up with a cross, and the my grandpa's birth and death dates on it still

A cover up needs to be about 50% bigger than the original tattoo. His best bet is to go to a reputable tattoo studio for advise.  They will be able to suggest something suitable.  The idea is to disguise/hide  the original tattoo in the new one.  So depending on how red the red is, depends on what he can get on.
