Someone who claims to be of higher intelligence than others, understands the finer thing in life, and generally deems themself a higher being than most others; they often refer to the 'lesser beings' as peasant or philistines. In simple terms, snobs are wankers.

I know of 2 definitions of a snob:

1. A rather old fashioned word for a shoe repairer/maker.

2. A person who tries to associate with people of a higher social status than themselves, and who behaves condescendingly towards others.

A snob I am sure is a universal word. It is some one that sticks their nose up at things that seem beneath themselves.

They tend to boast about the cost or quality of things, or others lack there of. They generally belittle others. The one true fact about many of these type of people, they are very very insecure. FACT
