Question:

Good deal or timeshare scam?

So I just got a letter from Total Rewards on this weekend deal which includes airfare and hotel from Seattle to Laughlin staying at Harrahs for like $250 a person. It seems like a decent deal for a weekend get-away. Just wondering is this a decent deal to try out a new place (probably during the slow season), or is this some timeshare scam where they are going to spend the entire weekend trying to convince me to buy a timeshare? If it was completely free i'd be more concerned.

  1. I'm not familiar with this, but always read the small prints. If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is. Just call them and ask the questions you want them to answer. If it is all legitimate, then they would not have any problems with that. Gather as much as possible information first. Call the hotel to ask if they are familiar with this offer.

  2. Sounds like a timeshare tour. Be warned, timeshare tours rarely last the amount of time the salesperson promises.
