Good decking cleaner?

Question

My decking has never been treated and has discoloured and is looking pretty tatty. I'm planning on painting it soon, but need to clean it up first. Does anyone know any good decking cleaners that revive the decking with as little as possible effort (please don't just Google, I want answers from someone who has actually used a product that worked well)

Pressure cleaning it will work but if you don't want to do it that way, purchase some Oxi-Clean and follow the instructions on the back for cleaning wood. I did mine that way and it came out great.

Well theres a couple of ways to do this. You can go to a home improvement store and they have deck cleaners. Some people use bleach but I have never done that. The best way to do this is to pressure wash it with a deck cleaner but if you dont have a pressure washer you may have to scrub a bit with a brush.... Good Luck

We used a high powered pressure washer, a little sanding, and a stain/sealer made by Olympia.

I would use a pressure washer. you will see a big difference. If you decide to re-stain it apply a polyurethane on top when finished. Looks great!
