Good eating places and nightlife in Melbourne?

Hi there me and my sister are off to melbourne in a few weeks and i would ideas on good resturants especially on Lygon st and St Kilda. Also are there any good clubs/pubs that are worth going to while we are there (other places other than crowne casino!!!)

Ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.

there are plenty of places to dine in melbourne. its up to you what you feel like eating!

catch the 112 tram from collins street and it will take you to brunswick street (about 10-15 minutes out of the city in Fizroy) and there are all types of places you can eat.

Bimbo's is a nice place to sit down, its a nice alternative place.

also try Mash in St.kilda.

don't be affraid of getting lost!

there's also a nice fun place called 'click click' on a saturday night. again, its pretty alternative place. check out their myspace!

you could always check out the ice bar in melbourne, frostbites, prince of whales, platfrom 1,(under flinders street station) G.P.O (corner of burke and elizabeth) panic! on a friday night in Fizroy)

pick up a Beat magazine (can pick one up at a Dangerfeild store in either Melbourne Centeral or Flinders street also at General Pants in Melbourne Centeral and plenty of other stores!) have a search in Beat, for places that you would find fun.

try the Burmese house restaurant at 303 bridge rd Richmond ph:94212861 its just a short tram ride from the city and one of  my favourite restaurants.(try the marrow and the roti with chick pea dipping sauce for the entree)
