  1. yougurt with granola and fruit or fruit smoothies are good and filling. both high in energy and loaded with vitamins

  2. Green tea would be great in the morning.  It has some caffeine and that will be helpful in making you feel alert.  It has lots of vitamin c which is good for fighting illness and it also contains lots of antioxidents.

Have a slice of multi grain toast with peanut butter.

edit: Diamond is right on the money.  A hardboiled egg would be a great edition to this breakfast.

  3. I would recommend drinking some green tea, as it's good for you and you don't need to put creme or sugar in it, so no extra calories there.

For breakfast I would recommend eating one or two hard boiled eggs, and a piece or two of whole wheat toast, with some peanut butter or jam.

  4. well coffe is good to wake up the brain, but not really the best for you. Tea is a great energy source for easy digestion. It is also good for your digestive system. I also drink tea, but its raspberry herbal tea (it tastes very good) good luck in H.S too ; )

  5. As long as you do not load the tea with sugar, tea is really good for you. I would suggest drinking 20 or so ounces (about 1 water bottle) of water before school.

For breakfast, try a whole-grain cereal or oatmeal with low-fat bacon or sausage and eggs. For variety, try grits with sausage links.

  6. yay to freshies! i'm going into ninth too. I'm into herbal teas, and if you want one that wakes you up, try a mint or lemon tea. Try some wheat cereal with berries. It'll revv up your motabilism (sp?), so you won't intake as many calories as you would have.

  7. Mate, sometimes Yerba Mate, is an herb found in Africa or something like that, but brewed as a tea it has a stimulant effect similar to that of coffee, without the jitters or crash. You can buy it loose from tea stores like Teavana or in bags at some supermarkets. I know Wegmans carries it, but they aren't a national chain. Whole Foods might carry it, too. I drink this a lot.
